Segundo Doblete para el Lloret

Second double for Lloret

On the third matchday, we were finally all able to meet at home, at the Puntet de Lloret, for our home debut in the league for both Team A and Team B. The first team hosted Sant Gregori, a strong opponent we hadn't managed to beat in a while. This time, however, there was reason for optimism, thanks to reinforcements on the top boards: we were able to count on JJ, Manel, and Nacho, completing a very solid lineup, something unusual in recent seasons. The match began with three relatively quick draws by Manel, Albert, and Toni, in balanced positions.

From then on, the games dragged on, and Alexander, Georgi, and Biel secured victories, delivering outstanding performances. Sergii Shchurenko extended the lead with a valuable draw, bringing the score to 5-2. Finally, after a hard-fought endgame, JJ and Nacho drew, securing the team's victory. Final score: 6-4, placing the team in a commendable third position provisionally. Meanwhile, Team B featured two new additions to its lineup. Daniel Delgado took over on the first board after scoring an excellent 1.5 points with Team A in the first two rounds, while Albert Robert, the club's honorary president, made his debut with the team in 2026. Bastian and Sara also returned to the team.

The match began in the best possible way, with a quick and decisive victory for Bastian. Shortly after, Daniel and Sara also secured points, making it 3-0. Albert Robert played a much longer game, bravely battling at 88 years old to seal the final victory and complete a spectacular 4-0 win against La Verneda-Malgrat B. With this triumph, Lloret B moves into second place in the southern group. Next Sunday, the Lloret teams will play away from home again. Lloret A will travel to La Bisbal in search of another victory, while Lloret B will try to defeat Blanes C, also on the road.
