Good performance by Club Escacs Lloret in the Girona U12 League
Last weekend saw the conclusion of the Girona U-12 League, a competition that, once again, brought together a large number of teams and young chess players from across the region, solidifying its position as one of the most important events on the training calendar. A total of 27 teams participated in this edition.
Club Ajedrez Lloret entered two teams, Lloret C and Lloret D, who competed with great enthusiasm and spirit throughout the six rounds played.
The Lloret C team delivered a very strong performance, finishing in a commendable sixth position, with 3 wins, 1 draw, and 2 losses, accumulating a total of 14.5 points. The team, comprising Olga, Arnau, Mateo, and Gael, demonstrated great consistency throughout the competition, competing head-to-head with some of the strongest teams in the tournament and consistently staying at the top of the standings.

Meanwhile, Lloret D continued its progress, finishing in 21st position. The attitude and effort of the young players are noteworthy; they used the competition to gain experience and continue improving game after game. The team consisted of Aleix, Gerard, Elián, and official competition debutants Matvii, Alex, and Haydn.
The competition was highly contested, with high-level teams, and it allowed our players to put into practice the knowledge acquired in training, as well as enjoy a sporting and camaraderie atmosphere with other clubs in the province.
From the club, we want to congratulate all participants for their commitment and attitude throughout the league, as well as thank the support of the families, a key piece in the development of young chess players.
We continue working to keep growing and developing players, both at a sporting and personal level.
